Pluton's Last Stand is a 2D animation and Action figure project inspired by older Japanese and western cartoons like Street Fighter 2 The animated movie, You're Under Arrest and G.I.JOE.

Just like the latter, our project also consisted of action figures. We tried to mimic the cartoons that aired at the same time as the toy lines to make children interested in the figures.

For the animation part, its genre is action and thriller. The fight scenes from this short movie are also inspired by fighting games such as Street Fighter 2.  The color palette of this short film is based on older anime like Ghost in the Shell.

We want to show how bleak the world is so choose a murky and gloomy color for the scene where the bad guys appear, but we also show a warmer scene for when the protagonists have a moment with each other.

The characters are also based on fighting games characters, for example, Hades is inspired by big muscular characters and Tiamat is inspired by strong young girls characters. The setting location is set in a fictional city inspired from the US around the 80s to 90s.
