Design Process
Fallen Bloom is a 2D animated music video project, inspired by the style of Alien Stage and intense songs like those from Arcane, as well as the theme of a tragic event between family members. Set in the 1900s, the story unfolds against a backdrop of loss, betrayal, and revenge. The animation explores the depth of the characters, focusing on the intricate relationship between two sisters.
Darie (Pic 01): Darie is a girl seeking revenge for her late parents, designed with pink and red tones that reflect her once-beloved, adorable appearance.
Lila (Pic 02): Lila, the cursed older sister, has a dark color scheme to evoke a mysterious, unsettling vibe. A teal cape marks her as an enemy, while the maroon lining quietly reminds us she’s still a sister.
Devil (Pic 03): The Devil, Darie’s contractor, granted her power through a deal. Its design blends beastly elegance with majesty, featuring a flower over its eye to symbolize that power.
The setting remains in London, England. Darie's house is inspired by Queen Anne-style architecture. Inside, the house features Victorian-style furniture reminiscent of early 1900s European design. It was eventually overtaken by rose vines, which caused the structure to collapse."
